Avorium at 6 months

Can you believe it?! Avorium is 6 months old! The time has flown by, and we have absolutely loved meeting our customers, sharing our products and building the Avorium brand!

Below, we’ve put together a snapshot of some of the things we’ve managed to achieve in these first 6 months. As ever, our customers have supported us every step of the way, so these are your achievements too!

100 Clarity Notebooks Sold!

Our beautiful, baby blue, bullet journal style notebooks have been our bestseller since we launched. Incredibly, we have sold 100! The dotted paper has proved popular particularly with students. We have been blown away by the creative ways our customers are using bullet journals – it seems there is no end of applications for them! Our notebooks are also one of the products we can personalise and it’s always fun to see what people come up with. Here are some of our favourite foils:

£110 donated to York Mind

As a brand that is all about healthy working and curating your desk space to feel positive, good mental health is at the heart of the Avorium experience. Every time we sell a Health Journal, we donate £5 to York Mind, even if sold with a discount. York Mind is “a leading local provider of services supporting individuals recovering from mental ill-health” – something that we at Avorium want to help support. Thank you to our customers who have helped raise this sum; we will continue to donate via Health Journal sales and also via our new Mindfulness Journal which will be launched in the coming months.

First show attended

In March, we attended Living North Live at York Racecourse. It was so exciting to take our products to a new location and sell alongside other vendors. We even brought our foiler along to offer on-the-spot personalisation! There was such a positive response to our products, we even had some previous Avorium customers come and say hello! It was such a valuable experience and we have decided to go back for the Christmas Event in November, so do come along and check out our stall!

Bonus products launched

Whilst we provide a core range of products, we like to mix things up every now and again and produce some limited-edition items, so there’s always something new in store for repeat customers. Since opening the store, we’ve launched bamboo straw sets (an eco-friendly alternative to plastic!), gold fountain pens and of course our Health Journals. All three of these bonus products have been popular, but we’ve also taken on suggestions from customers to decide on our next bonus products. These will be silver ballpoint pens and a Mindfulness Journal. 1,000 Instagram followers!

We love showcasing our products on social media, especially because we have such beautiful colours to photograph! We try and keep our Instagram (@avorium_london) as aesthetic as possible and have just hit the 1,000 followers milestone! These first 6 months have been so exciting and we’d like to thank all of our customers for their love and support – we couldn’t have done it without you!

Over the next 6 months we hope to continue growing, increase our social media following, go to more events, launch new products, and much more!

In the pipeline already, we have our Mindfulness Journals in production as well as our mugs (these will be available in the Avorium colours). We are also looking into a range of ballpoint pens. We have also secured our place at York’s Christmas Market (St Nicholas Fair) so do come along if you can! We’ll also be at Living North Live York which will be held at York racecourse, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with Avorium.

We also endeavour to continue to do our bit for York Mind and support the fantastic work they are doing.
